Tilda in the Garden

I have a day off from work, and it is another 90+ degree day here in Connecticut, with humidity too, so I tucked myself away at my craft desk and put together this card. I have made a few over the past week, but this is the first one with a Magnolia image in a while.

Challenges:

Magnolia Down Under--
embossing
Just Magnolia--
In the Garden
(oops, I was 24 minutes too late)

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge--
bugs
Totally Gorjuss--
Sugar and Spice
The Shabby Tearoom--
color challenge,
"Cottage Comfort"

This image is "Sweet Tilda" and you can
get her through the Magnolia-licious store.
Some of my flowers came from Wild Orchid Crafts,
others from my stash.
The pearl stickpin came from Susan at Killam Creative

Here is the inside:

A close-up of the embossed sentiment (from Stampin' Up!),
and the little punched butterfly with Stickles.

Thanks for visiting my blog...I hope you will leave me a little note, so I can visit your blog too!

Sunset Salad Tilda

I suppose that is an odd name for a post, but I am sharing a recipe card for one of our favorite warm weather recipes, and it seems as though Tilda likes it too!

I am looking forward to participating in my first recipe card swap, so I thought I would try one ahead of time. "Sweet Tilda" from Magnolia-licious is colored in Prismacolor pencils. All the flowers except for the large white daisy are made with various punches I have, and the little flowers all have glitter centers. I typed the recipe in the computer...I used the "Beaches" font.
Yellow ribbon makes the bow, and the orange background papers are from the "Ambrosia" 6-inch square paper pad by Basic Grey.

Try out this recipe, especially if you want to get a little extra fruits and veggies into your kids!
My kids are all grown up, but they still love this salad.

Tomorrow, I am planning to share my Week 49- Just Magnolia card. Please come back and take a look! I really appreciate all your encouraging comments!

Just Magnolia Week 48 Challenge

I am so excited to be able to share my first Magnolia card on my new blog! This is also one of the new stamps I just ordered from the Magnolia-licious store: "Sweet Tilda" is all that!

I used Prismacolor pencils to color Tilda and the chicks (Stampin' Up!). The pansy and sentiment are clear stamps from Studio G . For the ferns and leaves, I used Martha Stewart punches and I hand-cut the little peach flowers so they would match the little peach flowers in the background paper. (Background paper: {note}worthy Addie Ledger Floral by Making Memories Wholesale; the green papers are the backside of that paper. All other papers are from my stash.)

This made a cold and gray Sunday morning a little brighter for me...I hope it does the same for you and your day!
