On this day that is forever etched on our hearts,
my prayers go out to all who lost someone dear on that day,

Tilda in a Hurry

This is a little card I make a week or two ago, but I haven't had much time for posting. I know I used a sketch, but I can't remember where it came from! Sorry! I promise to give credit if I figure that out! I inked this cutie up the day my order came in from Diana!

Magnolia Family Album

I received my copy of the latest Magnolia Ink magazine a couple weeks back. If you have seen it, there was a contest for making a family project representing your family in Magnolia images. Today I am sharing my project. I worked hard to get it submitted, but every time I sent the email, it would come back a day later saying it couldn't be sent, the mailbox was too full. I was never sure until the magazine arrived if they ever really got it. Since it wasn't published, I can share it with you here.

When I first read the contest request I immediately thought of the old tin-type photographs in the beautiful little metal folios lined with velvet. That is what I tried to recreate here.

I had great fun altering Edwin to be bald, because my husband is balding!


My daughter is in the purple dress, I am in the pink one, and
the image I used for my son and my husband is the same
Edwin, I just altered it and drew my own bald head.

It was difficult to photograph the depth inside the folio.
The family poem came from my scrapbooking days!
I colored all of the images with my Copics,
cut them out,
and mounted them at various distances off the background.

Tilda and the Diaper Cake

I had so much fun making this little diaper cake for a co-worker that I had to share it with you! YouTube has a number of instructional videos, but there is one that is my favorite! I made a Tingla card to go with the cake, and I wrapped the cake in soft white tulle (but forget to photograph it after wrapping!)

This little Tingla is sitting on an old Creative Memories rattle die cut,
and I thought her little socks look like little Uggs booties!
