Blog Award-- Pay It Forward

Good Morning, Blog-friends!
I have truly missed my cyber-connection these past weeks, as my work schedule has kept me from spending too much time here, or in my craft nook. I was blessed to receive this blog award from Eve at Lavender Memory Lane, so I want to thank her, and pass on my good fortune to some bloggers who inspire me in my creativity.
There are some conditions I'm very happy to fulfill!
1. Thank the person who sent it -
Thank you so much Eve!
Lavender Memory Lane
Addendum:
It appears that I also received this award from Regina too! Thanks Sweetie!

(I really have to check my email more often!!)

2. Post a favorite photo to my page.

This is a picture near Popham Beach, ME where our family has vacationed for the past 8 years. This year we could only make a day trip, as my Dad lives with us, and he can't be left alone overnight any more. It is almost like a postcard picture!

3. Snatch this award and post it on your blog.

4. List three things you like about yourself:

My sense of humor, my creativity, and being a good listener.

5. Choose 5 favorite blogs to receive this award:
Paola's Paper Haven
Handmade by Regina
Artful Achievements
Killam Creative
The Two Pink Ladies

I have some cards in the wings to post, and a diaper cake I made for a shower. Baby Tingla is on the tag, so I hope you check back soon!

Tilda with Lilacs

While lurking in the background for a couple of weeks, I have been trying to keep up with some of my favorite bloggers. Here is a card that I made after seeing something similar on Regina's blog, Agnieszka's Scrappassion and Cabio's blog.. The tutorial came from Bodils Scrappeverden blog.

The set

I used "Tilda with Lilacs" and colored her with my Copics.
The white lace is my new MS edge punch.
The lilacs have Flower Soft on them, thanks to my
daughter Katie for suggesting I buy some!

Thanks for stopping by!
I love to read your comments--they make my day!

Mermaid Tilda Came!!!!

I have been admiring the beautiful cards made by so many Magnolia-licious
crafters with the new Tilda summer stamps,
and waiting anxiously for my order to arrive.
They came yesterday!!!
Thanks Diana!!

Immediately I pulled out Mermaid Tilda and inked her up!!
Then I pulled out the glitter---paper, Stickles, rhinestones!
Here is what I made:

Is she not a cutie-patootie?!!!

I colored her with my Copics and
used my scalloped circles Nesties to cut her out.
If you look closely you will see the acetate swirly waves.
Here is a little close-up:

There are 3 of these coming out from the sea plants.

A look inside...

Eagle Scout Cards

Whew, all this working leaves a girl little play time! but I am back today with a couple of Eagle Scout cards I recently made. My son is a Life Scout, which in Boy Scouts is the second highest rank you can achieve, the highest being Eagle. there are a number of young men in his troop who have completed the requirements for Eagle and were recently awarded the honor. Unfortunately the card I made for today's Scout just went out the door without my snapping a picture, but there will be more!

Inside of both

The flag stamp is from Our Daily Bread. The eagle stamp is from Rubber Stampede. The type font I used is from dafont.com. Coloring was done with my Copics.

I am waiting to hear from the winner of my blog candy, Rene from Simply Cute. Rene, if you are out there, I need your address to get your box of goodies in the mail!

Tomorrow I have a Tilda card to share! Finally!!
