A Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is a bittersweet holiday for me. My Mom passed away 11 years ago on May 4th, so although I enjoy having my kids around and adore the special things they do for me, I am also missing my mom. I was also very close to my mother-in-law, and she passed almost 5 years ago, so I don't have much opportunity to make cards for this holiday.
This year I made a Tilda card to share with a dear friend, who recently moved to be closer to her daughter's family. I know she is so much enjoying her time with her grandsons, and I wanted to honor our friendship with a card. I hope you enjoy it.

My daughter will be home for the weekend today, and
"all my chickens will be in the nest!"
(We are also going to Ikea for the last couple of things for the craft alcove!)
PS-I entered this card at the Stamptacular challenge!

I hope all of you who are mothers have a wonderful weekend.

What a nice thing to do for a friend. I lost my mother 10 years ago her funeral was the day before Easter. Your card is lovely!

Pam what a darling card! Super sweet little Tilda sitting on the rick rack. Pretty flowers and paper as well. I am sure your friend will be tickled pink with this loving gesture from you.
I am sorry you don't have your mom or M-I-L any longer - it is awful when we get older and lose our most favourite people. However it sounds like you are going to have a grand weekend with all of your children home as well as getting the rest of the things you need for your new craft room!
Happy Mother's Day to you!
Hugs, Candy

Pam, know what you mean. My mom's been gone for 17 now and fantastic step-mom for 6. I'm close to mom-in-law, but I've never made a card for her. I think this year I'll send a belated. Hope your day is as fantastic as your card. I love how Tilda is sitting on the rick rack, and the flowers are gorgeous. Thanks for joining in at SSC.
Hugs xx
