Sailor Tilda in the Rain Card

Here in Connecticut, we have had two days of torrential rains! It has been bleak and soggy, and the wind made waves in the puddles in my backyard. My husband Dan suggested that Tilda might be up to her ears in water. Sounded like a card challenge to me! So I picked up the gauntlet, and here is Sailor Tilda in too much rain...

Sailor Tilda by Magnolia Rubber Stamps
Cloud/raindrop stickers from my Creative Memories stash
Yellow satin ribbon
Various card-stock scraps
Sentiment stamp by Stampin' Up!

I drew the water and rain drop ripples around Tilda, after coloring her with my Prismacolor pencils, cutting around her outline and gluing her to the blue card-stock. I drew the little background raindrops and added a drop of silver Stickles to make them shimmer.
Glued on the ribbon, tied a bow and glued the bow to the ribbon.
Has the rain stopped here? Almost. All things considered, we don't have to build an ark just yet, but we had a good 6 inches of rain, so I'm glad it is just about done!

Tomorrow I'll show off some of the simple Easter cards I made, using a free tulip digital image from Fred She Said.

Thanks for coming by!

Thank you everyone for taking a peek! Tilda is fairing well, but say a prayer for those folks in this area who are in dire straights due to all this rain.
Please come by again soon!
