I have been bursting at the seams
to let you all in on my exciting news, and today is the day!
Amanda and Janet invited me to be Guest DT for the
July challenge at "
A Gem of a Challenge" Blog.
On this card I had the opportunity to use Pink Gem's "Daisy" the cow for their fun birthday sketch. Daisy is a digi-stamp, so I was able to change her size and do a mirror image of her to create a whole herd of partying cows!
Happy Birthday, Amanda!
Here are the ingredients for the card:
Daisy digi-stamp from
Pink Gems DesignsPapers:
Red glitter cardstock--Reminisce "Shimmering Rubies"
Yellow cardstock embossed with glossy flowers--unknown
Solid black-Bazzill Basics
White and black floral--made with a Stampin' Up Stamp
Yellow polka dots--Bo-Bunny's Back to Backs
Bright green swirl--Bo-Bunny's Back to Backs
I dressed up the "cow-girls" with black diamond Stickles
on their spots, silver on their bells,
and I made hand-drawn little party hats to match their bows.
The balloons (inside and outside) are from Karen Foster Designs.
The stars are a Sizzix die cut, and the swirls are a Marvey punch.
The assorted rhinestones are from my stash.
This unusual view is looking down on the card,
to show all the dimension---lots of foam mounting tape!
The cow-girls get their close-up!
Now let's look at the inside:
Green paper--K &Co. "Poppy Seed Lime Star Stripes"
Cow paper--Reminisce "Cowprint"
Red gingham ribbon--my stash
Sentiments were computer generated using a
free font from
Dafont.com, called
"Sunshine Poppy."
"For you"--Stampin' Up!
The scalloped squares were cut with my Nestabilities dies.
There you have it!
I hope you check out
